This scarf is knitted on a warp knit machine, which isn’t the conventional machine used to make knitwear. The warp yarns are threaded onto the machine, then the knitting action intermeshes these yarns vertically, to form fabric.

This @sessun patterned knit would be expensive to knit as it is a 12 gauge and has a transfer stitch all over, which slows knitting down. The coloured yarns used are a mixture of solid dyed colours and injection dyed colours, which are more expensive and give a space dyed effect.

This @toast dress is a good example of how discharge screen printing can be used on cellulose bases.
The fabric has been dyed with a dischargeable dye. A discharge paste is applied to remove the dye in the areas that’ll be printed. Then, the colour is printed onto the discharged area.
It gives good coverage on the reverse of the fabric and is most effective when the ground is a strong or dark colour.
